This is one major question that will pop into your head.
However, this is the topic of the day why is my iphone not sending text messages to one person, and I’m telling you that it is not just you as this issue is quite common as long as smartphone is involved.
Why is my iphone not sending text messages to one person?
Text messages not sending to one person on iPhone may be caused by the person’s phone being switched off, offline or probably the person blocked your contact.
If a text message is not sending or getting delivered to a particular recipient or contact on your iPhone, I want you to know that this issue is from the recipient side.
If you can’t seem to send texts messages to all contacts in your phone, then the problem is from your side. But in this very issue the problem is from the recipient side and below I have explained what could cause iphone not sending text messages to one person on your iPhone.
Below are the major reasons iphone is not sending text messages to one person on your iPhone.
1. When the recipient phone is switched off
For a text message to get delivered to a recipient, the recipient’s phone must be active and not switched off. If the recipient phone is switched off please don’t expect the text message to get delivered.
That will never happen.
If you sent iMessages to the recipient and which the recipient’s phone is switched off but his apple id is connected to other Apple devices like the iPad, Mac or the Apple watch, the iMessages Wil get delivered to any of these as long as they are active.
For sms text message, that won’t be possible because sms text message requires an active sim and the cellular network service in order to send and receive sms text messages.

2. When the recipient phone is offline
A phone being switched off and offline usually go hand in hand but the differ.
A phone may be in an airplane mode but has an active Wi-Fi which makes internet connection active on the phone. However, if the phone is completely offline without any active Wi-Fi then it simply means that text messages will never get delivered to the phone.
3. You have been blocked by the recipient
Talking about why is my iphone not sending text messages to one person, it is likely that you have been blocked by the recipient.
Most times this is the reason why iMessages and sms text messages are not getting delivered to a particular recipient on your iPhone.
You may have been blocked by the recipient.
I recommend you to call the person on cellular calls and facetime and see if the call will go through, if it doesn’t go through to the recipient phone the maybe you are blocked or the recipient phone is switched off or offline.
To confirm it, you can create a new apple id or use someone’s iPhone to send an iMessage to that very contact and see if it will get delivered.
If it does get delivered then it simply means the recipient indeed blocked you on his iPhone. Once you’re blocked on someone’s iPhone, sms, iMessage, facetime and cellular calls will no longer work for the recipient.
Being blocked by the recipient is the likely reason why your iPhone is not sending text messages to one person on your iPhone.
4. You’re trying to send sms to someone not using iPhone
When sending a text message to someone not using an iPhone or any Apple device, the text message will be green in color meaning the text was sent as sms text message.
This will occur if you’re sending text messages to someone using an android phone or a feature phone as they don’t have iMessage.
Aa the text will be sent as sms text message, you need to have a sim card and texting plan or airtime in your phone. If you don’t have these requirements, you won’t be able to send sms text message on your iPhone and this means that sending text messages to that very contact will fail.
If iMessage is not getting delivered to a certain person
If iMessage is not getting delivered to a certain person on your iPhone, it is likely that you have been blocked by the person or iMessage is unavailable on the person’s apple device.
iMessage unavailable is caused when the phone is switched off, has no active internet connection or iMessage is disabled on the recipient phone.

Below are the ways to contact someone that you on iMessage or iPhone;
- Hide your caller ID
- Create a new apple ID account
- Create Google voice account
- Use other instant messaging apps
1. Hide Your Caller ID
One of the ways to contact someone that blocked you on his iPhone is by hiding your caller ID. Once a caller ID is invisible to the recipient, the call will go through to the recipient unless the recipient enabled Silence Unknown Callers on his phone.
To hide your caller ID on iphone, get started by opening the Settings app on your iPhone.
Scroll down to Phone and open it.
Look at the options presented to you and you will see Show My Caller ID among the options.
Go ahead and open Show My Caller ID on your iPhone.
Once you open show my caller id on your iPhone, go ahead and turn it off as it is turned on by default.
Immediately you turned off show my caller id on your iPhone, go to the phone app and dial the contact number. Definitely the call will go through except if the recipient enables Silence Unknown Callers on his iPhone.
Silence Unknown Callers on iPhone will prevent unknown caller id and spam calls once enabled on an iPhone. So if the recipient recipient enabled Silence Unknown Callers on his iPhone, hiding your caller id won’t work.
2. Create a new apple ID account
You can create a new caller ID if you really need to contact the person on your iPhone. All it required from you is to create a new Apple ID using this link .
After you are done with the account creation, sign out and sign in using the new created apple ID. Please make sure to change your phone number or use only your Apple ID to send text messages to the contact and even for facetime calls.
3. Create Google voice account
You can create a Google voice account, get an assigned phone number and use it to contact the person that blocked you on iPhone.
So far Google voice only works in the United States and I think in Canada as well. Not yet available worldwide but you can opt for google FI as it is quite similar to Google voice.
Once you get an assigned phone number you can start calling the person. Remember that Google voice works similar to cellular calls though it requires internet connection like Wi-Fi or cellular data.
The recipient will receive the text message or phone call just like incoming cellular calls and text messages.
However, the person might go ahead to block your google voice number but you can keep on creating new Google voice accounts.
4. Use other instant messaging apps
This is the last option you have when it comes to contacting someone that blocked you on iPhone, and the best will be Whatsapp, Skype, Instagram, Facebook messenger etc.
