Right now, samsung usually have the google messages pre-installed on their phones and tablets, along with the samsung messages app, making the user select their preferred messaging app.
So let’s continue.
Next is to locate the conversation, and open it.
Look up, and you will see a three dots hamburger menu as shown below, tap on the three dots.
You will be see with more options to select, and which includes Details as shown below.
Tap on Details, and in the next window you will see Notifications, tap on the option.
As you tap on Notifications, on the next window you will see three options;
- Priority
- Alert
- Silent
Once you set the notification to silent, then you’re good to go.
Notifications from the text conversation will be muted, but other conversations will be alerted.
So if you have other texts conversation that you want to silence, use this method to silence the text conversations.
However, if you want to silence or mute all texts conversations on your android, this literally means to silence the message app on your android phone.

As you tap on your google account, you will see Messages Settings as shown below.
