When it comes to sharing location, there are certain moments when we don’t want our current location to be seen by those we are sharing location with, this can make someone decide to switch off his or her phone.

It will show the last seen location of the person.

Some will think that when you switch off your phone it will show no location found on Find My App. But that is not the case as it will show the last seen location of the person.

It won’t display the current location of the person.

Below is the typical example of what I’m talking about.

Looking at the above image, the time on the location says 12 hrs ago and this is because the person’s phone has been switched off for a good 12 hours.

Well the truth is that the person’s phone has not really been switched off for a good 12 hours, but rather location services was off for 12 hours.

Please note this, on iPhone or any other apple device, once you turn off location services, you have automatically stop someone from seeing your current location.

In the case of what does your location say when your phone is off, once an iPhone or an ipad is turned off, location services will not function and this prevent find my app from updating the person’s current location.

What does life360 say when your phone is off?

Life360 cannot provide real-time location updates if your phone is turned off. When your phone is powered off, it essentially cuts off all communication with the network, including any tracking services like Life360.

As a result, it won’t be able to report your location until your phone is turned back on and connected to a network.

When attempting to locate a phone that’s turned off, Life360 typically displays a message indicating that the device is offline or unreachable.
