On gallery app

All you need to do is to open the gallery app and look at the bottom of the page and you will see where it states Trash along with a trash icon.

ON MY FILES APP
Open My Files App and look at the bottom, you will see Trash.
Tap and open Trash and you will see all your deleted files. Now tap on the hamburger menu just like on the picture below.
When you tap on the hamburger menu you will see the word Empty.
If you tap on Empty it will notify you if you want to permanently delete them. If yes go ahead and tap on the Empty Trash button and that’s it.
Once you have done that, those files are permanently removed from your phone and you can’t retrieve them.
Kindly note that trash folder located inside My Files are all files you downloaded from the internet.
For example, if downloaded a picture from the internet using any of your mobile browser, the picture will be stored right inside the download folder in your internal storage. Now if you delete the picture from your samsung tablet it will be moved straight to the trash folder inside My Files.
If you snap a picture using your samsung tablet and later deleted the picture, it will be moved to the Trash folder inside the gallery app.
ON GALLERY APP
To empty trash on samsung tablet on the gallery app, you simply need to open the gallery app, look at the bottom and you will see Trash.
Tap on the Trash icon to open all your deleted pictures.
