But when it comes to android phone and tablet, Google voice assistant don’t drain battery at all and this apply to all android device.

From my experience, one of the ways to save battery on samsung galaxy watch is to turn off Wi-Fi and even bluetooth. The galaxy watch 4 was a total disaster when it comes to battery life especially if you have blue turned on.

The galaxy watch 5 battery life is quite good, but when you have both bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on, it will consume a lot of battery.

And without internet, you can’t use google voice assistant.

As long as you have an active internet connection on your android watch, it will drain the battery. And as Google voice assistant requires internet, and which it runs in the background, it helps to drain battery more on any given android smartwatch.

So if you’re not satisfied with the way the google voice assistant is draining your device battery, please go ahead and disable it.

Right now I’m using the galaxy watch for thir tutorial.

To disable google assistant on android watch;

  1. Open the Wearable app on your android phone or samsung phone.
  2. Tap on Watch Settings.
  3. Scroll down to Apps and tap to open the option.
  4. Right there you will see Google Assistant, tap on it.
  5. Look below and you will see a disable option, tap on it.
  6. And that’s it. Google voice assistant will be disabled on your Galaxy watch or android watch.

You will see the homescreen like the image below, tap on Watch Settings.
